All living organisms age and die eventually. However some are said to be biologically immortal; technically, this means that they can self-reconstruct or rather simply put, they can defy the ageing process which is caused by cell degeneration and as a result live for centuries or even forever; forever? well i.e assuming there no predators or other hostile conditions in play!.

Lets take a look at these animals that seem to have embraced immortality!

  1. 1 Jelly Fish

The jelly fish is a remarkable aquatic creature that has the incredible ability to regenerate or duplicate its tissue and cellular structure, this cloning mechanism the most powerfull factor which ensures that the jelly fish stays free from the ageing process that causes biological death.

It's highly resistant and immune to disease and infection. Equiped with a strong defense system, the jelly fish is also known to be swift and highly poisonous, a factor that keeps predators at bay.

If a jelly fish can successfully keep off predators as well as other hostile conditions, it can live for millions of years!.
